On April 13, American Constructors joined Dripping Springs ISD for the groundbreaking ceremony of the district’s second comprehensive high school, located next to Cypress Springs Elementary on Darden Hill Road in the eastern portion of the district.
The ceremony included remarks from Superintendent Dr. Holly Morris-Kuentz, Board President Dr. Stefani Reinold and several students along with a special performance from the Sycamore Springs Middle School band.
Planning for the campus dates back to 2023, when a voter-approved bond funded the design of a second high school by VLK Architects. With the passage of a second bond in May 2025, construction is now moving forward, and the 2,500-student campus is expected to open for the 2028-29 school year.
The school will include a 506,000-square-foot main building along with state-of-the-art athletic facilities such as baseball and softball fields, tennis courts, two practice fields, a band practice lot, an agriculture barn and a competition stadium.
We look forward to working with Dripping Springs ISD on this significant addition to their growing district!
