Phase 1 of Leander High School Masterplan is underway! 🛠
Part of this phase includes removing wall panels and roofing to reconfigure the layout, paving the way for a new auxiliary gym and other updates throughout the school.

Did you know the earliest bricks were made out of straw and mud? These sun dried mud-bricks were one of the earliest building materials used by humans.
Today, many bricklaying techniques are still rooted in the methods used by ancient civilizations.
🧱sun-dried to fired bricks
.
🧱Roman’s use of standardized brick sizing
.
🧱corbelling to create overhangs
.
🧱the stretcher bond, header bond, and Flemish bond
Above is a masonry worker laying the final brick on the string line.
This will ensure that the brick is level across the walls of one of our upcoming elementary schools! 🦺
