At American Constructors, safety isn’t just a priority – it’s part of our identity. In honor of Construction Safety Week, we gathered our field teams on May 8 for a Safety Seminar at Texas Hall, designed to promote safety education, strengthen field procedures and empower our team.

The day began with opening remarks from Chief Operating Officer Joe Charlton, who emphasized the role each individual plays in maintaining a safe job site.

“Safety is not a one-time training – it’s a mindset that must be reinforced every day,” Charlton said. “Our goal is to create a culture where every team member feels responsible and supported when it comes to safety.”

Following the kickoff, teams reviewed core field procedures, engaged in a hands-on construction equipment demo, and participated in a safety trivia game to put their knowledge to the test.

Chief Executive Officer Marty Burger closed out the seminar with a message of appreciation and unity.

“We believe that safety leadership is the responsibility of all team members – from our subcontractors to our field engineers and project managers. We’re proud to see that belief in action across every project we touch,” Burger said. “A huge thanks to everyone who came out to learn with us.”

After a full day of learning and collaboration, team members enjoyed a social hour to connect, reflect and celebrate shared progress. The event was a fitting conclusion to a week focused on building safer, stronger practices and deepening our commitment to safety practices and communication on every job site.
