On July 27th, Bastrop ISD and American Constructors celebrated the groundbreaking of two new elementary schools to serve Bastrop’s growing student population.
Colony Elementary School will be a two-story building on a 12-acre site, and Elementary 821 will be a two-story building on a 34-acre site. Made possible through approval of Bastrop ISD’s May 2021 bond, these projects will mark the first two schools built by the district since 2009.
Both elementary schools are expected to be complete by Summer 2023 and open for the fall semester.
In addition to the new elementaries, American Constructors will complete additions and renovations to Mina Elementary School and Cedar Creek High School, helping Bastrop ISD meet their growing demand.
