American Constructors is proud to be the construction manager for two new Del Valle ISD elementary schools, built as part of the district’s 2019 Bond Program. Alongside the district, American Constructors broke ground on Hornsby-Dunlap and Smith Elementary Schools on May 17.
Both schools will receive new campuses that support collaborative learning through flexible seating, outdoor teaching spaces, upgraded technology and more. In partnership with Pfluger Architects, American Constructors worked with the district and local stakeholders to design campuses that reflect the surrounding community, while bringing both schools to equitable education standards that support future-ready learning. Additionally, as the district’s new neighbor, Tesla Gigafactory 5 is donating solar panels and battery packs to both campuses to energize the outdoor courtyard.
The new buildings are expected to be complete and ready for students in August 2022. Congratulations to Del Valle ISD on this exciting milestone!
