On September 16, American Constructors joined Jarrell ISD for a groundbreaking ceremony of the district’s new Operations Center, which will provide a centralized location for the maintenance, custodial and transportation departments.
Jarrell ISD has experienced rapid growth in recent years, leading to the need for a centralized facility that would enhance the efficiency and coordination of district support services. The new Operations Center will be designed to provide a cohesive space for these critical departments to work seamlessly together and support students, faculty, and the broader Jarrell community.
Designed by Huckabee Architects, this 28,835 square-foot facility will embody the pride of Jarrell ISD both inside and out. The building will feature a striking “Jarrell Blue” metal facade at the entrance, reinforcing a unified aesthetic with some of the district’s other recent projects. The interior design prioritizes durability and ease of maintenance, ensuring the facility will last for decades to come.
Key features of the Operations Center include:
- Dedicated office space for the maintenance, custodial and transportation departments
- A multi-use conference room centrally located within the building
- A flexible lounge and workspace for staff
- Parking for 65 buses, multiple maintenance bays and fueling stations
- A 7,500 square-foot warehouse
The project is slated for substantial completion by Summer 2025. This new Operations Center represents not only physical growth but also a strategic enhancement of Jarrell ISD’s support services.
