After a rigorous selection process, in May of this year, American Constructors welcomed 11 students to our annual summer internship program.
For 10 weeks, each student was partnered with a company mentor to receive one-on-one guidance and gain hands-on construction experience by working on projects across Central Texas.
In addition to the mentor-mentee relationships the students made at American Constructors, they also built relationships with each other. While their majors differed from civil, architectural, and mechanical engineering, to construction science and business management, they were able to find common ground in their long-term goals as future leaders in construction.
We also had some fun along the way, stretching our creativity and artistic skills with a team outing at Painting with a Twist. Interns and field engineers also participated in a friendly paintball competition in Jonestown to celebrate the end of the program.
As the students make their way back to their respective colleges, we would like to extend our gratitude for the time we worked together over the summer. Students, we have no doubt you will succeed in the path you have chosen and cannot wait to see all that you accomplish!
