Hornsby Dunlap Elementary Rebuild

Del Valle, Texas

Reconstruction of a New Elementary School on Existing Campus

While keeping the school operational, the rebuild of Hornsby-Dunlap Elementary created a brand-new facility on the existing campus. Previously the district’s oldest school, it is now Del Valle ISD’s newest elementary addition.

At the start of the project, the district engaged in visioning exercises to determine their priorities for the new school. Bright, flexible learning spaces and a library filled with natural light and scenic views emerged as essential elements.
