The American Constructors Foundation is proud to announce a $20,000 donation to the Austin Community College Foundation through the 2021 Riverbat Paddle Battle!
Due to COVID-19, this year’s event shifted to a virtual race to ensure the health and safety of our community. Instead of hosting the race on a single day, our friends, partners and community supported ACC by paddling at Rowing Dock on their own time, with 100% of proceeds providing students with scholarships, apprenticeships and workforce development opportunities.
“We are thrilled to support the Austin Community College Foundation for a third year through the Riverbat Paddle Battle,” said Marty Burger, CEO of American Constructors. “This race is truly a passion project for American Constructors, and we are so thankful to our sponsors for their support of ACC and higher education.”
As part of the virtual race, all participants received a full day pass to Rowing Dock to paddle their own race at their own pace. The top finisher in each course length received a prize package.
The third annual event sets a new fundraising record, with the 2019 and 2020 events raising $10,000 and $15,000, respectively.
Thank you to all our 2021 Riverbat Paddle Battle sponsors! We look forward to paddling again with you in 2022.
