American Constructors is honored to have received five awards at the 2023 Excellence in Construction (EIC) Awards banquet, presented by the Central Texas Chapter of the Associated Builders and Contractors, Inc. (ABC). The award ceremony was held on October 26 at the Bullock Texas State History Museum in Austin, Texas, to recognize companies that exemplify the highest quality of workmanship and commitment to safety performance and training.
American Constructors received the EIC Eagle Award for the Killeen ISD High School Modernization, the highest award granted at the local level. Students and staff of Killeen High School enjoy a newly renovated campus that includes a two-story academic wing, a fine arts addition and an auxiliary gym.
American Constructors also received the EIC Merit Award for Del Valle ISD’s Hornsby-Dunlap Elementary School and Leander ISD’s Carol Ann North Elementary School projects. In Del Valle, American Constructors was able to build an entirely new facility for Hornsby-Dunlap Elementary School while keeping the original school operational throughout the construction process. In Leander, Carol Ann North Elementary School gained a new neighborhood learning model that features flexible classroom spaces, music and art rooms, a media center, a computer lab and more.
The company also received two safety awards including the STEP Platinum Award, the second highest level of the national Safety Training Evaluation Program, and the 2023 Safety Award of Excellence - Central Texas Chapter.
