On August 5th, American Constructors, Del Valle Independent School District and Pfluger Architects celebrated the official ribbon-cutting of Smith Elementary School with community leaders, parents and students.
Built as a replacement for the original 1972 Smith Elementary School, this new, modern facility accommodates Del Valle ISD’s growing student enrollment and dedication to providing students with state-of-the-art learning spaces.
American Constructors broke ground on the project on May 17, 2021, as a part of the district’s 2019 Bond Program.
The campus - which recently opened its doors to students for the Fall 2022 semester - offers collaborative learning spaces with flexible seating, stunning natural light, bright colors, unique sensory walls and equipment, and vast outdoor learning and play areas.
