Just like the Texas weather, things are heating up at American Constructors. Since the start of the new year, our team has been selected for seven projects in Del Valle, Georgetown and Temple.

Learn more about these projects and our long-term commitments to the districts we serve below!

Del Valle ISD

Del Valle ISD recently selected American Constructors as the construction manager for two new high school projects.

The largest project, High School #2, is scheduled to open its doors in 2027. It will address predicted overcrowding at the current high school, which is expected to see rapid growth over the next several years.

The Pathway in Technology Early College High School will be a 48,000 square foot facility in partnership between the district, Tesla and Austin Community College. Students who attend the school as a part of the four- or five-year P-Tech program will include engineering classes to prepare students for jobs with many companies in the industry.

Earlier this year, the district also selected our team for updates to the central administration facility and the building of a new maintenance and operations building.

Over the last decade, Del Valle ISD and American Constructors have partnered on more than 20 projects. Our team led 11 projects for the district’s 2015 Bond Program, which included the district’s state-of-the-art, award-winning athletics facility and career and technical education space.

Currently, our team is building the new Hornsby-Dunlap and Smith Elementary Schools as a part of the district’s 2019 Bond Program. Both campuses were designed in partnership with Pfluger Architects, the district, and local stakeholders to reflect the surrounding community, while bringing both schools to equitable education standards that support future-ready learning. And in November 2021, the district selected American Constructors to lead two child development center projects.

Georgetown ISD

Georgetown ISD recently selected American Constructors as the construction manager for two new elementary schools.

Elementary 11 and Elementary 12, both measuring 124,000 square feet, are slated to begin construction in March 2023 and 2024, respectively.

These projects mark the first partnership between Georgetown ISD and American Constructors. We are excited to create a true partnership with the district and help them build their students future.

Temple ISD

In May, voters approved Temple ISD’s $165 million bond. In January, the district picked American Constructors to receive a portion of the total work – which will address local growth, safety and security concerns, aging facilities and the expansion of student programs.

American Constructors first partnered with Temple ISD on their 2011 Bond Program, where our team led seven projects. A few years later, the district chose once again to partner with American Constructors for their 2015 Bond Program. Our team led 20 projects of various scopes and sizes, including the district’s state-of-the-art, award-winning career and technical education space and swim center.
